Tools: foam of various densities, clay, foamcore, balsa/ bass wood, rubber, white gesso
Exploring affordances- communicating how something is used visually, processing natural forms to geometrical forms, considering specific adjectives and their associated physical qualities.
Project 1
A: Similar but different. Creating a set of primitive objects that require a person to use them the “same” way.
B: Qualities of Form, Substance and Interaction.
Translating the interaction into a form that embodies assigned qualities: warm, soft, heavy, dynamic
Project 2
A: Handling materials. A study of balsa wood and rubber.
B: Developing objects for interaction. Translation of mechanical interaction to a form.
